A Visit With Dear Friends

Last weekend we were able to meet up with some old friends, the Collins family from Sonoma, CA. They have been living in Mexico for 3 years now. They sold their house, etc. and moved down here with their four children, ages 20, 18, 10, and 7, so they could have a greater share in the ministry. Currently they have been living about 20 hrs west of us. We really wanted to visit them, but a plane ticket was too expensive and to drive would take a couple day's. It just so happened that they recently received encouragement from their CO to check out an area in Belize that really needs help. So on their way down there, we were able to meet up with them in a little town called Bacalar about 3 hrs. south of us. It had been about 3-4 yrs since we'de seen them. So to reconnect with them and share similar experiences was such a needed blessing and gave us a boost of encouragement!

We kinda accidentally fell upon this place on Luguna Bacalar. It's a large body of fresh water  full of many colors of blue. So beautiful!!!

We studied our Watchtower together by the pool:)

And then so we wouldn't be missing a public talk for that week, Nate gave one of his outlines for us:)

These are just some random pictures I never got on here. Check this post every so often, because I will probably  be adding more to it:)

Service in the jungle

Service Pictures

In service out on the jungle road. There are some English speaking out there, it's just a matter of finding them.

Walking a dirt road along the coastline.

On this day we had 35 meet for service! Every other Thursday brother's and sister's from Playa come  and go out with us.    And on this day they brought many visitors with them. Just to give you an idea of the variety of ones we get to be with, on this day there were brother's and sister's out from Canada, Denmark, Washington, Kansas, and Minnesota. All the time we are meeting new brother's and sister's from all over the world!

This brother, Obed, is from Seattle and he knows Nates niece Lauren! That has happened to us a few times. Such a small world in Jehovah's organization:)

Fernando was witnessing to this couple from Italy.
