A Very Full Day

Yesterday was a very full, rich and rewarding day. To start with we met with the group to go in the ministry at 9am. There were brothers and sisters there from all over. The forth sister over from the left lives in Playa, but is from Canada, the brothers at the end of the group also live in Playa but are from Denmark. Then there is a couple, Daniel & Janice staying here in Puerto Morelos for a couple more weeks from Canada. They are here to help the cong. and are thinking about moving down here.

We walked in service until 11:30, the sun was quite warm but the breeze off the ocean helps. Nate talked to a couple men who are Mexican that speak English. One wanted to know where the Kingdom Hall is and when the meetings are. Nate is having alot of success with the article for married couples in the Awake on arguing. I think I will try it next time:)
When we walk the streets there are many tourists walking around so we try to talk to them discreetly. One man was very nice, he asked us what we were doing and where we were all from, so we told him. He said he is Catholic, but seemed impressed with what we were doing. Although on some day's we may not find many English speaking who are interested, there are still ALOT of people that notice us downtown and they know who we are and what we are doing.
We went home to eat lunch and take a little break. Then we went to see Pablo (he is the one who rode his bike to meet with us our last trip) We had a very good visit and Nate showed him the article on arguing, and Pablo couldn't believe we brought him that article because he and his wife had been having some issues with that recently. He said "this is amazing." And we found out his father is a witness in Veracruz. In our conversation it came up that his wife cuts hair, and Nate was desperate for a haircut, so she cut his hair then and there:) for 50 pesos or $4 if you can believe that!
Nate asked Pablo when he wanted to get together to study and he said how about 5:00 that same day. So we studied with him and it was very good! He is really soaking everything in, it's truly awesome to have a share in teaching him.
Then also that day we were able to talk to the guy where we take our laundry just around the corner. He speaks English and brought his family back here from Detroit. They lived there 20 yrs, but had to come back to Mexico 3 months ago.
There is a new "gym" that just opened in our neighborhood, it's very small, pretty much a concrete room with mirrors on the walls, but it has all the equipment you could want or need, $40 US for both of us per month. Its something for us to do in the evenings, and it may open up doors for us to give a witness. We went there last night and started talking to another man working out who speaks English, he also knows another brother in our congregation.
So there is alot of potential, and we are very happy to be here. These are all the pictures i have so far. We got the camera fixed, but now it's acting up again, so not sure what we will do. But I will have more soon!
