Awesome Experiences!!!!

Today was a very encouraging day. First off, the three of us went out to lunch hoping to find an opportunity to give a witness. Our waiter was very friendly and spoke some English. So after our meal Matt told him that we were Witnesses and why we are down here (in Spanish) since his English wasn't that good. They talked a little bit, then the man (Jeremy) went to the counter and pulled out a Bible Teach book that he had and his Bible. He said the Spanish Witnesses go through downtown alot witnessing. Matt read him Ps.83.18 in his Bible to him. He wanted to know where the Kingdom Hall was. We showed him our invitation and it has a map on it of where the Kingdom Hall is. He said he lived over by the Hall. It didn't really go anywhere else from there, since there was a bit of a communication gap, but you never know.

This evening we went in service before the meeting from 4-6. Between the 8 of us we found about 12 English speaking. Some were interested, some were not. About 4 or 5 I think we will make return visits on. Nate has a probable study with one of them tomorrow, he said today wasn't good, could he come back tomorrow. Matt is going back to a man tomorrow, plus he and Fernando are going on the study they started last week. Tim found a girl from Canada that was interested and wants me to go back to her.
Lisa found a man who showed interest so she gave him the invitation to the meeting. He asked how long it would take him to walk there. She told him about 20 minutes. He then asked, well if I go I shouldn't walk home in the dark, how can I get home? She said if you come to the meeting we will give you a ride home. He said, Ok I will be there. Well, did he come? He is in the picture above on the far right!! And he loved it, he said he will be back on Saturday for our public talk and WT study. AND he wants to study, and on Sat. will let them know which day will be good to study. Is that not awesome or what?!
Tim also had a good experience today when they went to Playa del Carmen to go to immigration to take care of some paperwork. He had his Bible with him. A man saw his Bible and asked if he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and if he had a Watchtower he could have. Tim did not have a WT, but he has friends in Playa and they will contact the man. The man said he used to study and wants to study again.
So it was a very good day:) I've mentioned it once but will again. Despite the small crowd at the meeting the singing is just awesome!!! We have all the windows open, and I can't help but think about all the neighbors around the Kingdom Hall that can hear us singing:)

This is the pioneer couple Glen & Libby Wilson I mentioned in my last post who are here on vacation from Charlotte, NC. They came again tonight, and it was so nice to have them and hear their encouraging comments. So glad they came even though they were on vacation:)
